The data published by the Spanish Ministry of Development reveals that Marbella has experienced the largest increase in the number of real estate transactions, thus reaching levels prior to the crisis.
This information was published in the newspaper La Tribuna de Marbella (13.03.2013) and shows that 3115 transactions were completed in this Town during 2013, which approaches 2007’s figure and represents a growth of 23.6% compared to last year, the largest increase in all of Spain above Madrid (+6.8%) and Barcelona (+0.8%).
The granting of planning permission for refurbishment works, habitability licences and even new construction licences has also increased significantly.
A similar or even better performance in relation to real estate transactions is expected for the current year 2014, as prices still remain at very attractive levels.
The above confirms Marbella’s traditional significance in overcoming real estate crises in particular and economic crises in general.
