As part of the events which took place during the “MARBELLA LUXURY WEEKEND” from 30^th May to 2^nd June 2013, the 2^nd  «Management and Leadership in Uncertain Times» Forum La Zagaleta was held with great success.

In her keynote speech, the Mayor of Marbella provided relevant data concerning tourist activities in Marbella and specifically referred to increased income from the Municipal Tax on Capital Appreciation of Real Property (Plusvalía).

This Tax is payable to the Local Council on the transfer of real property within the Municipality and is therefore a good of property conveyances.

The amount collected by Marbella Council from this Tax in 2012 was higher than the amounts levied in 2008, 2009 and 2010 combined. She also stressed that the amount collected as a result of this Tax during the first quarter of 2013 showed a 30% increase compared to the same quarter in 2012.
